( Back )
Answer #1:
Catfish are bottom feeders, moss and stuff. Bass eat little alive fish that swim by.Answer #2:
No they wait for the little Fishys to pass and just grab a few :LAnswer #3:
A catfish will definitely eat small dead fish. Last year i was using a small dead bluegill as bait and i saw this catfish buried in these sticks, so i cast the little bluegill out there and drug it to him, he engulfed that thing like it was a piece of candy. Catfish mostly eat crayfish, but they scavenge for other dead things/ pieces of fish that they can fit in there mouths. Bass might eat a dead fish, but mostly they like waiting for live/wounded fish to pass by. Bigger older catfish are known to actually start chasing down prey instead of scavenging, they say if you want to catch a trophy cat to use live bait, like bluegills, shiners, crayfish. The catfish your talking about is in a pond, might not have that much fishing pressure on him, and he will probably go for a nice easy snack. So i think the odds are in your favor. Good luck. and Hang on tight!Answer #4:
Bass prefer their food to be alive. The biggest majority but not all catfish will eat dead bait, preferably stinky dead bait.** Powered by Yahoo Answers
