For a simple answer, damn near anything. When the water warms in Spring fish will start to go crazy feeding wise. Your best bet will be shad imitations hands down in my opinion. Spinnerbaits, Flukes, jerkbaits, Rattle Traps, crankbaits, etc. You can imitate a shad with a wide variety of baits. In Spring a lot of rain tends to fall here and there which will muddy up the water quite a bit. When the water is muddy and stained you can't go wrong with a jig and pig combo. I like a crawfish colored jig along with a craw trailer in the same color in this situation. A jig will pull you out some very nice Bass when fished right.
In late Spring the Bass will spawn. Your best spawn time baits are going to be your Texas Rigged plastics. Lizards are always goo but normally a plastic worm will be just as productive. Go with about 7.5 inch curly tailed worm or lizard. Culprit makes great worms and I like Zoom for the lizards.
Remember, when the water is stained throw darker colored baits and when the water is clear throw lighter and natural colored baits.
