Question #1:

What is a good tackle box/bag for redifsh(drum)/catfish/speckled trout?

I currently live in louisiana around the Algiers area. We live about 30 minutes from UNO and the point (which is the place where we normally do our fishing). For my birthday this year, my family decided to buy me an Ugly Stik Catfish pole that has a live bait switch (you switch it and it is basically a very loose drag setting). There are lots of catfish, drum, and even blackfin sharks there. I have been looking for my own tackle bag/box that i can bring with me. My choice as of right now is the Bass Pro Shops XPS Stalker. It seems suitable, if not too big, for what I am looking for. Price has to be under $75. I want something that can accomodate gold spoons and redfish corks (Popping corks?) Also please list any tips or good fishing areas that you know of. Thanks guys

Question #2:

Good fishing lures and techniques for a weedy pond?

I was recently fishing a very scummy and weedy MONSTER bass and MONSTER pike pond off a main river, but question is how do I get them to bite. I've tried scum frogs, gulp worm, jitterbugs, poppers, zara spooks, stanley ribbit frogs, yum money hounds, and nothing will bite anything, and its hard to fish it with cranks, buzzbaits even spinnerbaits because of the scum on top of the water and the weeds 6 inches from the surface, fishing them slow, meduim, or fast, nothing, and their in there because I can see them jump and feeding on topwater, please give me some tips.

Question #3:

Tips for catching big bass?

I live by a lake in connecticut that is full off largemouth, pickeral, and perch. Me and my friends fish it all the time, but we only really catch 3 lb bass at the biggest. But I've heard stories from multiple people and even seen some of them pulling 6-11 lb ones out. Any tips on getting the bigger ones?

Question #4:

What went wrong today fishing?

Okay I'm seriously bummed out because this is the third time my family and I have gone on a party charter fishing boat in Howard Beach, Queens, NY and we caught absolutely NOTHING. Today we went on the Northstar II for night fishing for striped bass from 7 pm - 12 am. We went various places from raritan bay, jamaica bay, and rockaways. The captain stopped the boat and we drifted. The setup was a 5 oz sinker with a hook with worms. We let it go to the bottom and occasionally lift the rod tip up and down as the mates told us to do. Nobody out of the 20 people on the charter boat caught anything. What happened? I mean all 3 times we went fishing? Not only on this boat but other party boats in NY as well. We fished on the side of the boat. We felt a few bites but nothing after trying to set the hook. We see on the websites people catching all sorts of huge striped bass, bluefish, weakfish. Now I'm thinking it's FAKE because nobody caught anything. This is bullsh*t. Anybody have an explanation?

Question #7:

I'm going fishing this weekend on a boat. I need tips?

Okay so in Howard Beach, Queens, NY. I'm going on a night fishing trip on the NorthStar II from 7 pm - 12 am. this Saturday. We are seeking for Striped Bass. I know somewhat about fishing. The boat supplies the rod, reel, tackle, bait. What I need help with is what side of the boat should my family fish on? The front, back, sides? Also if i get a bite, set the hook, and start reeling in the fish. What if the line is about to break, etc? I need some tips. The north star is the name of the boat i'm going on.I fished on the back of the boat before and our lines got stuck to the motor a lot.
The way we will be fishing is. Let the line go down deeper into the water. Not casting.

Question #8:

Salt Water Fishing Question.?

My dad and i were fishing for stripped bass and blue fish using frozen fish as bait. We fished not at open sea, but its like a water body that the ocean flows into, at high tide it rises and at low tide it lowers ( water). I was wondering when is it better to fish at high tide or before high tide reaches . Do you guys have any other important information and tips because we didnt catch anything. Also what is the body of water called that i mentioned. Thank you :)

Question #9:

Striped Bass And Blue Fish Fishing In The Rain?

I'm going to the Chesapeake Bay next week to go fishing. I fish from the shore (as I don't own a boat or anything) and instead of sticking with the same old perch, spot fish, sting rays, and small rock fish and blue fish, I'd like to try for the big ones.

It's suppose to rain though.. Will that effect my fishing, especially since I'm on the shore (regardless of me fishing during high tide)?
Any tips?

Thank you!

How do you catch fish in Bass Pro Shop: The Strike?

I passed the first part in Lake Amistad (by fishing next to the bridge) to get to the actual tournament, but I can't seem to catch anything in the first tournament. I must have the wrong lure or be fishing in the wrong spot, but nothing bites at all. Any tips on lure, technique, or location?

Question #17:

Bass fishing question, please help a newbie :D?

I live in Austin, Texas, and I recently found a stream/river near my house (Barton Springs) that has very clear water. Standing on the bank, I can see several very large bass, along with some medium sized ones. I picked up some equipment, including 3/0 sized hooks, Zoom baby brush hog plastic lures (green), plastic worms (green), and black frog shaped plastic lures with neon green tails. All these pieces of equipment were recommended by an Academy employee. I have also used live worms. I have had absolutely no luck with these baits; I can see the bass, and I drop the lure right in front of their faces (or near them), but they take no interest at all. I have only had luck catching a few small bass using Powerbait Atomic Teaser lures. I am dying to catch one of these monsters, but nothing I use interests them at all. Please give me some tips on what to use and how to use it!!

Can't catch These Largemouth Bass!?

Does anyone have any techniques to catch these Largemouth? Any tips at all!
Thanks
